Sanctions not to disrupt construction of Leader icebreaker

ST. PETERSBURG, Jun 15 (PRIME) -- The Western sanctions will not disrupt Russia’s construction of the world’s most powerful nuclear-powered icebreaker Leader, state nuclear power corporation Rosatom’s Deputy CEO Vyacheslav Ruksha told PRIME on Wednesday on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF).

“They will not disrupt it,” he said.

The company understands the ways to ensure imports substitution for the project, he added.
